[Openspace] problem with GEODA reading SHP file

Dear listers, greetings from Paris !

I would like to submit to the community the following problem.

It try to open a project with a SHP file reated from MAPINFA 6.0 universal
tranlator interface. All the process runs ok, but when I try to open the
tranlated file with GEODA, it just crashes with warning.

To be more specific, when I point to the spatial objects reference column,
then GEODA justs closes, visibly unable to read it.

By the way, however, it still computes contiguity matrices and saves them in
gal or gwt format.

could you help me to get out this trouble ?
