[Openspace] Weight matrix problem?

I am using the nearest neighbors weight matrix, and it looks like that it uses sometimes the own record as its first nearest neighbor but sometimes not. If that is the case then the distance is 0. I assume that this is a problem, because my regression computation always crashes, but it does not for a different weight matrix without zeros. What can I do to fix this problem?
