[Openspace] ABOUT ERROR

Ausilia,

Usually this problem occurs when users do not have permission to add files to the system32 directory, e.g., if you are working in a lab or server environment.

GeoDa adds several files to systems folders (for a complete list, see appendix C of the GeoDa user manual: http://www.sal.uiuc.edu/stuff/stuff-sum/pdf/geoda093.pdf). If you don't have permission to add to these system folders, make sure you get access and try the installation again.

If this is not the problem, check if your system32 folder already contains the file MSXBSE35D.DLL (it often does). If your installation was otherwise complete, the program might run fine since the .dll is already there.

If none of these suggestions work, please write back with details - we're usually able to fix these install problems.

Julia
