Hi German,
Before buying please see http://www.spatial-econometrics.com/, LeSage as
free-download manuals that really help me when I start studying spatial
econometrics. I had always Anselin (1988) that help me in the theoretical
component, and since we are studying spatial processes I have to confess
that reading Cliff & Ord (1981) is important as a baseline.

Then you have to do a state of the art of application of spatial
econometrics to the topic you are studying.
