I am working on a project where the use of a spatially lagged independent variable is of interest in answering the main questions. I know it is possible to save the results (lag values, cluster values, etc) from LISA and Moran's I tests in GeoDa to the dataset. I am also familiar with the spatial lag models, with the spatial lag of the dependent variable controlled for that you can run in GeoDa. It has been explained that it is possible to enter these measures into a stistical model as long as all other assumprions of the data were met, however, Is it correct to enter the spatially lagged independent variable created in GeoDa into a statistical model in another program such as HLM or Stata? If not is there a way to create a more appropriate measure to include?

Thanks for your time,

Brad
