Julia Koschinsky and Daniel Arribas-Bel of the GeoDa Center went to India to work with ecologists at the Nature Conservation Foundation(NCF) in the Anamalai Hills of the Indira Gandhi Wildlife Sanctuary for ten days in July (15-24). During the second part of the visit, NCF and the GeoDa Center collaborated with NCF and the National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS) to offer a 2-day training on spatial data analysis in ecology and conservation (conducted by Dr. Koschinsky and Daniel Arribas-Bel with guest lectures/labs by Dr. Krishnaswamy and Andrew Winslow). The projected was financially supported by the Indo-US Science and Technology Forum (IUSSTF), the GeoDa Center, NCF and NCBS.
