Geoda Center Welcomes Pedro Amaral
The GeoDa Center is proud to welcome Pedro Vasco Amaral as an affiliated scholar. Pedro will also join the Center as a visiting Ph.D student (2010-11) from the University of Cambridge that he will join this fall. He has been a researcher at the Centre of Regional Planning and Development at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (Cedeplar / UFMG) in Brasil. His research interests are in urban and regional economics, with a focus on regional imbalances of wage and production level, and in applied econometrics and spatial economic modeling (new economic geography and urban economics).
"We are delighted to welcome a student of Pedro's caliber to the Center. He will make important contributions to our work in spatial econometrics," said Luc Anselin, Director of the GeoDa Center.
WELCOME PEDRO!
