Theoretical linkages of spatial objects based location models

Past research in location theory has established theoretical
linkages between different classes of location models. The development
of new location models explicitly accounting for spatial objects as
demand gives rise to questions about whether these new models fit
within established theoretical linkages. The significance of such
questions is that there are implications for model solution, and more
broadly a unifying framework. This paper reviews existing theory and
explores linkages to this theory.
