National Academy of Sciences Elects Luc Anselin

On April 29, 2008, the National Academy of Sciences announced its election of Luc Anselin, Foundation Professor and Director of the GeoDa Center and the School of Geographical Sciences (SGeos). Dr. Anselin joins 8 other ASU faculty as a member of the National Academy of Sciences (NAS). The Academy annually elects members with distinguished and continuing achievements in original research. It acts as an official adviser to the federal government, upon request, in any matter of science or technology. Dr. Anselin now joins Billie Lee Turner in SGeos as a member of NAS.
