- PySAL
The GeoDa Center released PySAL 1.5 on January 31, 2013. PySAL is an open source library of tools for spatial analysis (see figure) written in Python.

The worldwide community of GeoDa users is close to 85,000. Geoda is cross-platform, free and open-source: 1.0 was released on 10/10/11, current version is 1.4, released in 03/13.

- Spatial Cluster Detection
This project will develop cutting-edge statistical approaches to provide an accurate framework for identifying spatial clusters for hot spot detection.

- Space & Health
This NIH/NCI-funded project develops new spatial regression methods and tools to study geographic disparities in breast and colon cancer.

- Visual Analytics
This NIJ-funded project develops flexible geospatial visual analytics and simulation technologies to enhance criminal justice decision support systems.

- CyberGIS
This project will establish CyberGIS as a fundamentally new software framework comprising a seamless integration of cyberinfrastructure, GIS, and spatial analysis/modeling capabilities.

- Affordable Housing and Walkability
This project is an in-depth, large-scale investigation of the link between subsidized housing and the walkability of urban neighborhoods.
